The pupils of our third classes at middle school at Partschins found penfriends in South Korea. They wrote their first letters to them talking about their life in South Tyrol, about their time at school and what they do in their leisure time. They explained some traditions in autumn and from the time before Christmas. The letters were decorated with lots of drawings and some stickers. English teacher Christine Tappeiner scanned all of the letters and sent them by e-mail, because they would need too much time to be sent by post.
The answers from South Korea reached them very fast. Also the South Korean penfriends told about their normal day at school, about what they like and what they hate and painted wonderful pictures. They thanked our pupils, that they read their letters. A few included words in Korean. Some of them wrote they name on Instagram or their ID in the Roblox game to be contacted on that way, as well.
It is very interesting for the pupils at Partschins to learn to know a different culture. They are excited to get the next letters from South Korea!
